Frightfully Spectacular Review*

I was sent some lovely polishes for review from Lolly of Frightfully Spectacular and I couldn't wait to swatch them and show them to my lovely readers. Here are the gorgeous polishes that were sent to me and what I thought of them.

L-R: Stray Cat Strut & Storm

I'll start by showing you Storm.

I totally adore this polish, it's my ideal colour. I love how rich and deep is, and you can really see all of the gorgeous colours and glitters coming through in the macro shot. This shifts so beautifully in different lights and I image that this would look fab with a matte top coat so that's one I'll be trying very soon.

In terms of the polish itself, this was 2 really easy, smooth coats. It glides onto the nail with no dragging or obvious brush marks. The brush is flat and fairly wide so it's really user friendly and you only need minimal clean up. The drying time of this is fantastic, touch dry within just a couple of minutes which is brilliant if you don't have much time to sit down and do your nails.

Next up is Stray Cat Strut

I was really excited when I opened up my parcel from Lolly and saw that I had this polish to swatch. I'd seen this on the Frightfully Spectacular Facebook page and loved it and couldn't wait to try it. I'm not usually a fan of glitter toppers because I find them a bit stressful and hate removing them, but I love how unique and fun this one is. It is literally packed full of tiny silver hex glitters as well as bigger holo hex glitters, large neon pink round glitters and green, blue, pink and purple neon stars. This is an ideal glitter for the summer.

I've shown this over black and white so that you can really see the glitters in all their glory and how they show up differently over each colour. I find that the green stars really pop over the black base, and the pink and purple glitters look amazing over the white base. This polish isn't too thick like a lot of glitters I've tried so it's really easy to get a good distribution of the glitters. I did use an orange stick to place the glitters where I wanted them, but its not necessary.

I really loved swatching both of these polishes for Lolly and I really can't recommend her polishes enough. We have an amazing indie scene in the UK now with more and more sellers breaking through all the time, and as polish addicts, I think it's important that we show our support to these sellers. You can show your support for Frightfully Spectacular by liking Lolly's Facebook page or following her on Instagram.

These polishes and lots more are for sale on Frightfully Spectacular's Shopsie page which you can find here.

Have you tried any Frightfully Spectacular polishes before? Do you have any favourite UK indie brands? Let me know in the comments.
